1. Who this agreement is between
These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Kaffeeklatsch, LLC, a company incorporated in the state of Texas. By creating a Kaffeeklatsch account, you agree to these terms.
These Terms of Service apply to the Kaffeeklatsch app (app.kaffeeklatsch.app) and the Kaffeeklatsch website (kaffeeklatsch.app).

2. Who can use Kaffeeklatsch
Kaffeeklatsch is for women who are 50 years of age or older. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
You may hold only one Kaffeeklatsch account. Creating multiple accounts is not permitted.
You agree to provide accurate information when you create your account and to keep it current. Kaffeeklatsch is built on the foundation of genuine connection — the information you share about yourself should be honest and true to who you are.
Kaffeeklatsch is currently available in selected areas of the United States. If you are outside our current service area, you may be placed on a waitlist until Kaffeeklatsch is available where you live.
3. What Kaffeeklatsch is — and isn't
Kaffeeklatsch is a platform designed to help women find and build meaningful local friendships. We do this by suggesting women in your area who share your priorities, interests, and friendship style.
Kaffeeklatsch creates the conditions for connection. We do not guarantee that you will form friendships, that every suggestion will be a good fit, or that any particular outcome will result from using the app. Friendship begins here — what grows from here is up to you and the women you meet.
Kaffeeklatsch is not a dating app, a professional networking platform, or a marketplace. It is not a mental health service or a medical provider. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or a medical emergency, please contact the appropriate professional services.
4. Your account
Kaffeeklatsch uses a verification code system rather than passwords. When you sign in, a confirmation code is sent to your email address. Keep your email account secure — it is your key to accessing Kaffeeklatsch.
You are responsible for all activity that takes place under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at help@kaffeeklatsch.app.
Deleting your account
You can delete your Kaffeeklatsch account at any time from within the app. When you delete your account, your personal information is removed from your profile and your name is removed from any chat conversations you were part of. Chat messages themselves remain visible to the other member. This action cannot be undone.
If you would like to return to Kaffeeklatsch after deleting your account, you are welcome to create a new account. Your previous profile, connections, and chat history will not be recoverable.
5. Your content
Kaffeeklatsch is built around what you share about yourself — your story, your interests, your priorities, and the conversations you have with other members. This content belongs to you.
By adding content to Kaffeeklatsch, you give us permission to display it within the app for the purpose of connecting you with other members. We do not use your content for advertising. We do not sell it. We do not share it outside of Kaffeeklatsch except as described in our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for the content you share. You agree not to post anything that is false, misleading, harmful, or in violation of anyone else's rights.
We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms of Service or that compromises the safety and integrity of the Kaffeeklatsch community.
Testimonials
From time to time we may invite members to share their experience with Kaffeeklatsch — why friendship matters to them, or how the app has helped them connect. If you choose to submit a testimonial, you are giving us explicit permission to use it on our website, in the app, on social media, and in other Kaffeeklatsch promotional and business materials. Your testimonial may include your first name and, if you provide one, a photo. You will never be identified by your last name or any other personal information. Submitting a testimonial is always voluntary and has no effect on your membership or your suggestions.
6. What we expect from you
Kaffeeklatsch is a community built on respect, honesty, and genuine intent. By using the app, you agree to treat other members with the same care and consideration you would want for yourself.
You agree to:
- Represent yourself honestly. Use your real name and accurate information.
- Engage with other members in good faith. Reach out because you are genuinely interested in connection, not for any other purpose.
- Respect boundaries. If another member does not respond or is not interested, accept that gracefully.
- Keep conversations within Kaffeeklatsch until you have established enough trust to move them elsewhere.
You agree not to:
- Harass, intimidate, or threaten any other member.
- Use Kaffeeklatsch for commercial purposes — to sell products, recruit for a business, or promote services.
- Collect or record information about other members without their knowledge or consent.
- Use the app for any purpose other than the one it was built for — finding and building local friendships.
Account removal
If a member makes you feel uncomfortable or unsafe, you can block or report them directly from within the app. We review all reports and take appropriate action. We reserve the right to suspend or permanently remove any account that violates these terms, that engages in behavior harmful to other members, or that undermines the integrity of the Kaffeeklatsch community. We will use our judgment carefully and act in the best interest of our members.
7. Subscription and payment
Free access during the launch period
Kaffeeklatsch is free to use during our initial launch period. We will notify you by email before any subscription charge takes effect, giving you enough time to decide whether you would like to continue. We will never charge you without advance notice.
Subscription
When the free launch period ends, continued access to Kaffeeklatsch requires a paid subscription. Subscriptions are managed and billed through our website at kaffeeklatsch.app — not through the Apple App Store or Google Play. To subscribe, visit kaffeeklatsch.app and follow the instructions there. Once your subscription is active, your access in the app updates automatically.
Founding Member pricing
Members who join during the Founding Member launch window receive a special subscription rate as a thank you for being here from the beginning. This rate is yours for as long as you remain a continuous subscriber. Details of the Founding Member rate will be communicated before your subscription begins.
Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time by visiting kaffeeklatsch.app or by contacting us at help@kaffeeklatsch.app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.
Payment
All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card information. By subscribing, you authorize Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
8. Founding Member
Founding Member status is granted to women who join Kaffeeklatsch during our initial launch window. It is a permanent designation — once you are a Founding Member, you are always a Founding Member.
As a Founding Member you receive:
- A Founding Member badge on your profile, visible to other members
- A special subscription rate that is yours for as long as you remain a continuous subscriber
Founding Member status is personal and non-transferable. It cannot be purchased after the launch window closes. When the launch window ends, we will stop granting Founding Member status to new members — but everyone who received it keeps it permanently.
9. Our intellectual property
Kaffeeklatsch and everything that makes it what it is — the name, the trademark, the brand, the design, the copy, the matching system, and the technology that powers it — belongs to Kaffeeklatsch, LLC. All rights are reserved.
What you may not do:
- Copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of Kaffeeklatsch without our written permission
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the logic behind any part of the Kaffeeklatsch system, including the matching algorithm
- Use any automated tool, bot, scraper, or crawler to collect information from Kaffeeklatsch — including member profiles, content, or any other data
- Use the Kaffeeklatsch name, trademark, or brand assets without our written permission
Kaffeeklatsch™ and Friendship begins here™ are trademarks of Kaffeeklatsch, LLC.
Unauthorized use of our intellectual property will be pursued to the fullest extent permitted by law.
10. Limitation of liability
Kaffeeklatsch provides a platform for women to find and build local friendships. We are not responsible for the actions, behavior, or conduct of any member, either within the app or in person.
When you choose to meet another member in person, you do so at your own discretion. We encourage you to use good judgment, meet in public places, and trust your instincts.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kaffeeklatsch, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app or from interactions with other members, whether online or in person.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of Kaffeeklatsch shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
11. Governing law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the state of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any dispute arising from your use of Kaffeeklatsch that cannot be resolved informally shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Dallas County, Texas.
We always prefer to resolve issues directly and informally. If you have a concern, please contact us at help@kaffeeklatsch.app before taking any formal action. We will do our best to make it right.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time as Kaffeeklatsch grows and evolves. When we make a meaningful change, we will notify you by email or through a notice in the app before the change takes effect. The date at the top of this document reflects when it was last updated.
If you continue to use Kaffeeklatsch after a change to these terms takes effect, that constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree with a change, you can cancel your subscription and delete your account at any time.
