Kaffeeklatsch is a place for women to explore local friendship at their own pace. We want connection here to feel warm, respectful, and grounded in good judgment.

Staying Safe

Trust your instincts. You are always free to pause, decline, stop responding, block, or report an interaction that does not feel right.

Take your time getting to know someone. There is no expectation that you share personal contact information, move a conversation off-platform quickly, or meet in person.

Keep sensitive information private. Do not share your home address, financial information, passwords, verification codes, Social Security number, or other personal details you would not share with a stranger.

Never send money, gift cards, cryptocurrency, banking information, or investment help to someone you meet through Kaffeeklatsch. Requests involving urgency, secrecy, emergencies, or money are warning signs commonly associated with scams.

If you choose to meet another member, make your own plan. Meet in a public place, arrange your own transportation, and let someone you trust know where you are going.

You do not owe anyone a reply, your phone number, an explanation, or an in-person meeting. Respect for boundaries matters here.

Your Control Over Conversations

Kaffeeklatsch is designed for one-to-one conversations between women exploring a potential local friendship. You decide whether to respond, continue a conversation, exchange contact information, or meet in person.

If an interaction does not feel right, you can block the other member at any time. Blocking ends communication between you and that member.

You may also choose Block and Report to send a concern to Kaffeeklatsch for review. Please report behavior that feels unsafe, deceptive, harassing, threatening, or manipulative.

Important Disclosures

KAFFEEKLATSCH DOES NOT CONDUCT CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECKS ON MEMBERS.

Kaffeeklatsch does not inquire into the background of members and does not attempt to verify every statement made by a member.

Kaffeeklatsch makes no representations or warranties regarding any member's conduct, identity, intentions, or compatibility with any current or future member.

Kaffeeklatsch is not responsible for the conduct of any member. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other members and for your decisions about whether to continue a conversation, exchange personal information, or meet in person.

No online service can guarantee every member's identity, intentions, or behavior. Take your time, use your judgment, and move only at a pace that feels right to you.

Reportable Concerns

Examples include:

  • Requests for money, gift cards, loans, investments, or financial help

  • Pressure to move quickly, communicate elsewhere, or ignore your boundaries

  • Impersonation or material misrepresentation

  • Threatening, harassing, sexual, hateful, or abusive messages

  • Attempts to obtain passwords, verification codes, account details, or financial information

If there is an immediate emergency, call 911 or your local emergency services.

If you believe you have been the target of fraud, contact your bank or payment provider promptly and report the incident to the Federal Trade Commission at ReportFraud.ftc.gov.

A Note on Autonomy

Kaffeeklatsch does not tell women how, when, where, or whether to meet. Any decision to continue a conversation, exchange contact information, or meet in person is entirely your own.
